Week of 3-30-15 to 4-4-15


Busy week with; Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday
Pay close attention to the times and run locations this week.
So let's run and get our fitness on!!

Tuesday is Mexican Night!!

El Parian Mexican Restaurant in Long Lake
We will head up the paved trail towards the Luce Line and then do an out and back on the gravel. Looks like it is going to be a perfect night for some fitness and fun!! 3-4-6 miles. Great food and fun to follow!!

Thursday Noon Run
4-2-15 Noon
Maple Plain Snap Fitness to Baker Park Loop
We are going out for a Baker Park run at noon this Thursday. The loop is 6.2 miles and is a great run! Meet at the Maple Plain Snap Fitness before the run.

Good Friday Good Morning Run
4-3-15 10:00am

Saturday Victoria Run
4-4-15 8:00am
Lowry Nature Center Trail Run/Hike
The trails are in perfect shape for a few laps. There are trails for 3-4-6-8-10 mile loops all on wood chips and gravel with parking lot breaks every few miles to refill water and food if you need. This is a great running location for training trails/ultras. Spend a couple hours in the woods running and getting your legs/feet/ankles ready for the summer.
Meet at Floyd's in Victoria at 10:00am for a fun afterwards.

Tuesday 3-24-15, 6:15PM

Change of plans!!!!! Meet in the Carbone's parking lot at 6:15pm. Please spread the word!!
We will figure out the route when we get there. It depends on how much melting we get and how the weather looks. Not matter what, we will have fun and get it done!! 3-4-6 miles followed by a good time!!



Wednesday 3-25-15, 6:00pm and 6:30pm
Snap Fitness Maple Plain
Core and Abs Class at 6:00pm
Cardio Fun Circuit Class at 6:30pm
Fun and laughs and popcorn at 7:15pm

Thursday 3-26-15, 7:30am
Baker Park Loop
Meet at Snap Fitness and we will head out to do park or all of the Baker Park 6.2 mile loop.
There are a few small hills and the trail is paved so it should be a good time!

Friday 3-27-15, 7:30am

Saturday 3-28-15 8:00am
Lake Rebecca Park Trail Run
7.5 Mile Loops; do as many as you like!!
There will be a car pool gang leaving Mound Anytime Fitness at 7:30am if you want to ride/follow.
Take Highway 12 West towards Delano. Turn right on County Rd 139 then turn right on County Rd 50 towards the park entrance. Park by the playground. There are maps at the site so we will be able to find our way around the route. The plan is to go kinda easy and stick together as a group.

Saturday 3-21-15 Details


Minneapolis Run; Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles.

Run time 8:30am from the parking ramp at Calhoun Square.
There is a car pool leaving Mound (AnyTime Fitness) at 7:30am. (or you are welcome to meet at Calhoun Square if you prefer.)
The mileage and routes will vary from 4 to 12 miles, depending what you are up for.
After the Fitness Event we will all meet at Republic (in Calhoun Square) for a few laughs and to talk about how cool we are are for running the lakes!!
Only rule is to have fun!!!

Tuesday St. Patric's Day Run

Tons of fun was had on the Dakota Trail. Some went 4 miles, others did 5 and still others did 6 miles!! But the key was that everyone had a great time!!

Fun for Week 3-16 to 3-21



Tuesday 3-17-15 is St. Patric's day; so where else would Team RED Metro meet for a run other than a pizza place? Makes perfect sense to me..... Meet us at 6:15pm at Carbones in Mound. It should be a perfect night to run/hike the Dakota trail to the west.

Wednesday 3-18-15 Is Taco Wednesday! Makes sense to me...... Met at Snap Fitness Maple Plain at 6:00pm for Core/Abs class then 6:30pm for Cardio FUN! followed by $1 Tacos!! Worth it!!

Thursday Morning Run 3-19-15 Meet at Snap Fitness Maple Plain at 7:30am and we head out to Baker Park to run the LOOP (or part of it depending on the day). Its a great place to get a few rolling hills into your work-out while never crossing a road for 7 miles!

Saturday 3-21-15 Downtown Minneapolis Run. We will have more details soon on this; but the idea is to do a loop along the river and back for 11 miles (there will be an 8 mile loop as well).

Tuesday Run Night Fun Night!!


Tuesday run night was great!! Perfect weather. Good trails. No bugs. Free popcorn. Awesome friends!!! The friends and the fun are what the whole running stuff is all about!!!

Tuesday's run is going to start at Maple Plain Snap Fitness. We are going to take a trip on the trail at Baker Park. It's only a few blocks from Snap Fitness parking lot to the trail. There will be 4-5 or 6 miles distances. Afterwards will head over to Monie's for popcorn!! Heck yeah!!!

6:00pm, 30 minutes of awesome core and abs. The class is always a hoot!!
6:30pm, 30 more minutes of fun cardio work
7:15pm, Tacos and Fun. uummmmm yeah!!!

We will brave the snow. Plenty of fun to be had. We will meet in the parking lot before the fitness and see how far and what groups what groups want to so what. Afterwards there plenty of time for for fun and laughs.
